It is beyond me why a woman would in any way, shape, or form would want her daughter-in-law to be mothering her grandchild poorly. Family is supposed to help each other, and not only that, it's important that the baby grows up in a healthy and loving environment. Already there is some toxic and hostile traits going on. If it continues like this, then they'll have to distance themselves from this woman. The husband is being kind of a door mat by not speaking up for his wife, for the sake of his baby.

"Why do you keep giving me such terrible advice?": Bossy MIL can’t wait to see daughter-in-law fail at parenting, DIL fights back to her snide comments
Parenting is no walk in the park. From constant shouts and crying, to feeding them, making sure they're happy, sleeping enough, and aren't on the verge of another breakdown, it's usually more than a full-time job. The rigorous, long days will make anyone wish at some point that they didn't have their baby, as much as they love and adore them.
What's worse when you're trying to parent properly, and when you're already stressed and at your max, is to have someone watching, judging, and deliberately making you feel worse about the situation. No one wants someone watching them, no one wants to feel like they're not good enough, like their efforts are unnoticed and that they're a failure, but that's just what this mother-in-law does to her DIL in the story below.
The MIL seems to want to watch her DIL fail at being a parent. Why she feels like this and wants her granddaughter to experience having a bad mother is beyond me. It seems like it would be in her best interest to want the best for her DIL, as well as her granddaughter. But you'll have to read the full story below for all the juicy details.
